Ory Okolloh on becoming an activist

In this TED talk by Ory Okolloh she shares her personal story growing up in Kenya and speaks of the positive ways in which Africa can be perceived. She is an activist, lawyer and blogger.

In her talk, she also mentions the importance of sharing knowledge by blogging and by supporting young entrepreneurs through financial means. She is a corporate lawyer for Enablis, a Canadian non-profit organization that supports entrepreneurs in developing countries.

Any thoughts on this talk ?

There a lot of quotables.. like, you can write so many articles out of the speech.

"(Our) leaders are the product of (our) societies."

"We should stop complaining and start to act!"
